From someone like me who switch from a government school to homeschooling, trying to take my exams in 6 months is not easy for me. In fact, I was prepared that I couldn’t make it. However, Mr. James put a lot of effort in me (and everyone else) encouraging me unconditionally, telling me that if I follow his phase and techniques, I will make it. His words keep my hopes up for the entire 6 months.
Education techniques: His notes were simple and straight to the point, providing mindmaps and tables to let us understand even more. He is more than a tutor to me, he is like a friend to all of us who encourage us to ask questions and not to be shy. I started asking questions and he seems to be someone who is very patient that will teach us all over again even if we didn’t understand the topic. When the exam is around the corner, he also pushes us to attend extra classes. Sometimes for free when he has another classes! He is not those typical tutors that stresses the shit out of you, saying “do your homework or don’t come in to my class” he is a very easy going kind of tutor.
For the past 6 months, from 0 knowledge about the syllabus to someone who got both A’s for Business and Econs, I can guarantee that he is the tutor you are looking for. Mr James taught me Accounting for IGCSE. The way he explained the topics are very easy to understand. He is very patient as he does not get annoyed when I ask many questions, instead he would explain again and again until I understood it. He would also give tips and tricks on answering the questions well. Overall, he is a really great teacher !

This teacher is quite good in teaching business and economics. He tells us about the important points to note and thr questions that will frequently come out in the IGCSE examinations. He changed me from a person who hates business subjects to a person who have passion in business subjects, and of course he amended my results from a C to an A* within a year. He always give us extra classes to ensure that we fully understand all the topics in the subject so that we could answer all questions with ease. Besides that, he also gave us tips and tactics on how to answer certain questions based on the keywords which help us to answer the exam questions with answers that have structures that the examiner would consider as an A* answer. During his classes me and my friends enjoyed the class as we would have some jokes about the syllabus and some silly ways to remember important points. All in all, Mr James classes are quite fun and he could change the letter on your result statement magically.

Hello. I am 17 years old this year. I took IGCSE Oct/Nov paper last year & got A* for Economics. I am in Taylor's College Sri Hartamas doing CAL now. I took 4 subjects; Biology, Chemistry, Economics & Mathematics. Although my basics for Economics is fairly strong but I'm struggling in class as the lecturer is not very clear when she teaches. I am interested in having a one to one private tuition or group tuition (I have a friend that wants to take Economics tuition too). If there were to be classes, I'd prefer it to be at a cafe like Starbucks or Coffee Bean at Hartamas Shopping Centre. Please do consider thank you :)
